Kevin Joel Clark took his first tennis class as a Junior in High School and immediately fell in love with the game. He chose tennis as an elective because bowling was full. Kevin attended college on tennis scholarships and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Tyler. Since 1987, Kevin has been USPTA P1 certified at which time he began teaching children, youth and adults tennis in Austin. Over the past two decades, while developing several state recognized JD programs and helping found The tennis academy, he has positively impacted the lives of countless individuals. His greatest passion is to instill the love of tennis in his students as well as teaching leadership and mentoring.
Many awards have been presented to Kevin for his coaching as well as community service including the 2004 USPTA Texas USTA Developmental Coach of the Year Award and the 2008 USTA Texas Section Community Service Award. Multiple Coach of the year awards, sportsmanship awards for coaching as well as for his players. The latest award was the 2009 Charlie McLeary Community service award!
